Ideas for story line for dance comp? Easy Points?

Question:In about a month, my friends and I need to have created a dance piece.

We need some ideas for a story line, simple yet something that could really engage with the audience. We were think along the line of like a toy box or toys but don't know a story for it. An example of one that was done last year was girls watching a scary movie that fell asleep and had nightmares of things.

Any ideas would be good about the toy idea. Also if you have another idea not to do with toys it would be much appreciated. Song names too if you have any. We are looking for either a jazz, funk, ballet, neo, contempary sort of thing.

I would go for a kind of modern lyrical piece (perhaps Wanted by Vanessa Carlton). To play off the dolls idea, you could have one girl trying to pick a doll. All the dolls could start in different poses and she could run to one and it could start dancing. The other girls could have choreography to do, but it would be more simple as to not distract from the girl and current doll. The doll could dance some then the girl could join in. Abruptly she could run to a different doll. The other dolls would continue simple arm movements and choreography while the doll dances then the girl and doll dance together. She could do this with each doll and after she has danced with each, they could all start dancing together, with the girl in the center. The music could stop suddenly and the only people left standing could be the girl and the doll she picks.
