Question:i was wondering what kinds of streches to do that would get me flexible fastest, and how. i know that it doesnt happen over night, that i will have to work on it, but i will. and if there are any other things, like... say swimming, that helps get more flexible???? thanks all people!!!!*-*

when i was a kid, i started doing some toe-reaching stuff.

stand feet apart and try to reach your feet with your hands, and once you get the hang of this (probably after gaining more flexibility), try reaching the floor with your palms.

this is good for the legs, if you try doing this you may be able to do a split any day soon.

for the back, i can do back bends too, and i did have exercises when i was a kid, which is why i can still do it now, but that's just it. you have to try it while you're still young because as we get older, the body becomes less flexible.

Well, like you said, it will NOT happen over night. To prevent pulling muscles, you'll have to start out small with stretching. I recomend doing stradle and bar stretches. Never do more than you are capable of! Try going as far into a split as you can for a minute on each leg each time you stretch. You should do this daily. Each time you go iinto your split, go a little farther down. Consistency is key to becoming flexible, so you need to stretch often and ly. Best of luck!

Pilates and yoga type moves help. As another poster said, toe touches help. Also try butterflies. Sit on the floor and put the soles of your feet together. Hold your feet and bounce your knees up and down. This helps loosen your hips. Grab your toe and touch your heel to your bum.
