Question:i need help with my toe touch and herkie jump.

in my toe touch, i always lower my back to reach my toes, and in my herkie i lower my back a lot also.

plus, if anyone can give me tips on how to do a back handspring would be nice to. =]

for your toe touch if your droping your chest your doing the same thing almoast every cheerleader does at some point my advice would be to pretend you tied a string to your chest and someone is pulling it up everytime you do a jump!! and try your harded to concentrate on that you legs will eventually get higher after you practice more.. same with your herkie and streach alot!!!!!

for your backhandspring .. try to get into a tumble class . you should start out with someone spotting you on a cheese matt or a tumble track i used to have problems with keeping my legs streight in my backhandspings but you have to take one thing at a time and focus on it. make sure you sit alot before you take off. jump back AND MAKE SURE YOUR AMS ARE LOCKED and then throw your hips back here is a link of a backhandspring

Practice as much as you can and before you know it, you'll be advanced :-)

Move to mars I hear they have low gravity.

more upper body strength. you can get a few more inches or more by increasing it

go to the moon

practice in no time youll be really good at it

and push off heel ball toe....thats what our teachers are alwaysssssssss yelling at us

stretching helps!
