this is my favorite idea ive heard of, you have everyone dress in black and white and then you show up with this bright vibrant color so all the attentiion is on you =]

let the party be on tv and let the boys carry you like ur a queen

You should have a 007 James Bond themed party, with music playing when you make your entrance and you should arrive in a Aston martin ;)

hey ! well for starters go by whatever your personal style is. for example: my friend is into vintage and victorian themes so she had a sweet 16 with mascarade/ball gown theme and it was gorgeous. another friend of mine had a party featuring mardi gras [not including the whole bead thing] but you get the idea..masks..green yellow and purple..lots of colors n whatnot.

When it comes to the fun part....get a pinata. You can get them in all kinds of themes to match your party. If you want teen girl pinatas, you can get a cell phone, lipstick, purse and all kinds of fun styles. You will have a blast!

My older cousin recently had a "Taste of Hollywood" sweet 16 party. They had a DJ and it was a lot of fun. Colors for decorations were mainly black and gold. She had posters of Elvis Presly and Marillyn Monroe up.

Some of my best friends has had really cool Sweet 16s and here are some themes that they've had:

1. "Around The World" (lots of different foods, cultures, and decorations)
2. "Morraco" (really cool! bellydancers and awesome music)
3. "Las Vegas" (looks like a casino with tons of flashy lights, loud music and casino games)
4. "Chinatown" (looks like chinatown with really cool chinese themed food, decorations and little boutiques set up every but with modern and regular music)
5. "Sixteen in the City" (just like sex and the city! lots of new york skylined themed decorations and lights. was really cool!)
