Question:ok so when i am balancing i look down.. how do i get myself to look straight or a little tilted up?! its like a habit and i seriously can't break it.. my dance teachers are like headddd i'm like ahhhh i know i know i knowwww.. help pleaseeee

look for something to focus on while balancing and stare intently at it... not only will it help with the looking down problem but i find it helps me to maintain my balance

Practice!! Try it out for 5 seconds, then for 10, and so on. Hope it helps!

You have to find a focal point. Spot it and keep your eye on it. Pick it right back up as you come around.

looking down a lot can make it alot harder for you to balance. try to find one spot in the room to concentrate on. find a point to spot. another thing you can do it follow your hand with your eyes. not in all dance schools but in mine that is what they tell us to do. it will stop you from looking down or staring in one spot too long. it also makes you look better when you dance.
