ya id say many are stuck up but thats b/c of how they were raised. many start young and just get the competive gene. im a dancer and im definetly not stuck up, but i probably would be if my parents always told me i was the best and i always had to win.

Im a very laid back dancer.. but, some of the girls on my team are that way cuz they are officers and they feel that they are better than everyone else... as they get better their egos get bigger I guess..

I think that a lot of dancers get an attitude because they feel threatened by all the competition between each other. If you're talking about pointe shoes (I actually have no idea what the second half of your question is supposed to mean) then girls do tend to get a little proud of the fact that they're en pointe. You can't control their behavior, but you can be proud of how good a dancer you are and still be nice to the others.

I think girls are quite competitive. Not the same ways that guys are, but they want the attention. Ya know? Just do your best. You can't change anyone else.

I am a laid back dancer.
I don't like to brag.
But I think some people's only strength is dance so they try to show every1 their skills bcuz thats all they can do

I think that since there is such a small market for dancers and SO many potential dancers that the competition is extremely fierce and what is perceived as "snobbishness" or as being "stuck up" is just a way of trying to assure that a dancer looks out for herself before others. This may sound rude or mean, but honestly, one has to be willing to step on a few toes (pardon the pun) to get where one wants to go in life.

I'm sorry your past experiences with dancers weren't pleasant; I wish you the best.
