Position:Home>Dancing> Do you have any injuries from dancing right now?

Question:I got like blisters that just healed, new blisters, sores, a couple of retarded toe nails from pointe lol.
And I'm not even going to start about the pain in my legs >.< Why, why, why did I do a pancake without warming up??
Tell me about your injuries; I'll sympathise with you!

Well I kinda pulled a hammie from the splits, hurts like crazy, (I've learned to warm up the hard way! pulling muscles in my legs and knees!) have many bruises from kicking myself with my tap shoes. One of my tap shoes are made of solid wood so that bruise turned purple and blue and left a big lump. They are all over the bottom of my legs and ankles. I also have one on my knee that I just discovered today! Have no clue where it came from. They are nasty looking!
I also have blisters on my heels from my tap shoes and the balls of my feet. Competition in 2 weeks!!! Great!!

Eeek. Sounds nasty!

You should of warmed up though.

The other day after modern my legs were killing me. But i'm okay now. Lol.

My legs ache a little from jazz, doing the splits like 100 times no lie. Its in our rutine and she kept making us do it. But if it makes us look good, I will suck it up ..lol.

Hope ya get better soon!

I don't dance so, no i don't have any injuries

Hi,

I twisted my ankle..when i tried the scorpion....

Cheers

my lower back hurts from my lyrical/modern class and my feet were killing me from pointe on monday, but theyre fine now :)

Yes I have torn ligaments in both of my knees right now and i still dance with the pain.

Well, I was dancing in my kitchen and I hit my toe on the counter. [Dont ask how I did that] LOL

Just a few healing blisters on my toes, nothing too bad though! I hope you start to feel better! : ) (By the way, your picture is awesome! How do you get your leg up so high?!?)

I was breaking-in my new shoes and slipped doing a toe heel swivel =(
...my butt hurts!!!
And I kept on loosing my balance on my double turns too. I miss my dilapidated old shoes!

I have none from dancing Rach, or from anything else.

-ughh blisters and the retarded toe nails you have :[
-my back hurts really bad from stretching a lot
-my legs kill from trying to make them go high during develope (spelling?)
-my legs also hurt from trying to get those last inches for my splits! oww
i completely sympathise you too i know how it feelssss ahh but love is pain and i love dancing so i deal with it lol :]

i have wip flash...it hurts....my neck is in a brace...

I`ll sympathise with you instead, my list is too long.

aww poor you ! :(
i pulled a muscle doing the splits and my arms and shoulders are caning from doing floorwork in hip hop.
nothing like yours though . . .

feel better rach! :]
xx

I did a high kick in my bedroom and hit my foot on the fan.......that hurt. My feet are dead from pointe work, (couple of ingrowns) and my shins are quite sore, for some unknown reason.......I don't have to warm up to do pancake......I just do it naturally XD

LOL, I've got the blistered feet,
sore tips-of-toes (ballet and ponte
work).

It used to hurt to walk down the
stairs; in the beginning of the year
we had to start and finish every class
with about a billion pulses, yowch!

my legs ache after doing constant toe rises with out stretching! it hurts your thighs!

I was dancing/running in the hallway of my home. Than I fell and hit something sharp that cut my leg. I had to get 13 stitches....ow! They took them out 2 weeks ago. I am fine now. But I can't dance until 2 weeks.... =(. So its been about one month since I haven't dance.
The thing that hurts most was the fact that I couldn't dance for one month. Dance is my passion! But thank God I am fine now! I still can't dance but I am starting little by little. =)
