Position:Home>Dancing> Do you judge people by the way they dance?

Question:Can you really look at someone and watch them dance and judge them? I admit I dont have the best moves in the world but I really dont care cause Im always having fun. What are some things that someone else can pick up on that Im just not seeing?? Maybe its cause I dont look at the people dance around me to actually pay attention. Do you guys do this? What do you get out of it?

i really don't care if someone can dance or not. yes, i do have a lot in common with someone who loves to dance and it gives us something to talk about but i'm not gonna be like "i can't talk to you because you can't dance." what's more important as far as dancing goes is that they're enjoying themself and having fun with it. you really can't judge someones personality on their dancing, though it can give some hints. it's kinda like how first impressions aren't always accurate or "can't judge a book by it's cover" kinda thing. so i hope all that made sense and answered your question.

I hate to dance but would do so in my younger days to bag a chick.

No, I was always too self conscious to judge other dancers.

You can definitely judge: if someone is willing to put themselves out there (even when they suck), then they're fun and adventurous. If they look like they're dancing just so other people will watch them, then they're too full of themselves. If they won't dance, they think they're too cool or they just aren't any fun. And if they're all over the place, then they're just drunk.

Yes.
But judgment doesn't have to be a bad thing.
If you have someone dancing like a goof, then you can tell they must be a fun person to be around.

I only judge dancers of auditions and things, but when It is a dance I seriously don't care if I look stupid or if anyone Else is .I just love being myself and having a good time with my friends.

I love dancing, and it does matter to me whether people are good dancers or not, but being a good dancer is a lot more than knowing the moves. I judge people, but not (I feel) in a mean way, what I'm trying to explain is that if someone dances with me and manages to loosen up a bit, have fun and get into it, then that's the best. I have so much fun dancing with people, and if they're horrible dancers then that can come from both lack of talent and lack of enjoyment, and if its the first it can be fun anyway, but if its the latter its a drag no matter how good they are. Sometimes a person I don't get along with usually can be the greatest dance partner, and sometimes someone I like can be - without. Back to question, I may judge someone on the dance floor, but it usually has a lot to do with their enthusiasm, and if they have skills then that will definitely help them in my book.

More advanced dancers can put some of their personality into dances, but it isn't as if their entire life's story is there to see.

People whp dance "badly" or whatever don't bother me. I hate girls who dance slutty and think they're hot, when they're 300 pounds, their saggy boobs are flopping out of their 3 sizes too small tank top, with their jeans from G&G with "holla back" bedazzled on the butt. Those people? I absolutely judge them lol
