Position:Home>Dancing> Survey Irish dancers: Ghillie and Hardshoe Size?

Question:I'm surveying, because I'm curious. I don't know how many of us Irish dancers are out there. What size of ghillies do you wear? How about hardshoes? Are you ghillie size and hardshoe size the same (some people wear different sizes, so I'm wondering). In case you're wondering, I wear a 1. But I think my current hardshoes are actually twos. My ghillies are ones though. I might be wrong. I don't remember what size my hardshoes are. I have small feet and buy them used off eleven-year-olds who outgrew them.

I wear Rutherfold hard shoes and they are a size 7.5. I wear American size 9.5 to 10 in tennis shoes. I got the hard shoes one half size down because I wanted them to fit snug. They still tend to be too wide at the instep.

My ghillies are so old I can't see the size mark anymore. I remember the woman converting my shoe size to the UK size and I took them. The width is good, but they are too long. I feel like I wear clown shoes at times, but they are broken in well and I don't want to replace them.

If you want to survey a large group of IDers. Check out diddlyi.com. We'd love to see you.

Please googling works :) you will find lots of answer there .
Thanks.
