And when I go to school dances im always in like crumpin circles and stuff lol I love hip hop. I want to start doing some dance lessons and stuff after I graduate, cause my town doesnt have any dance lessons. Im 16 now and graduating at 17. If I start dancing at 17 am I gonna be too late. LIke is that too old to do stuff for like so you think you can dance and stuff?

17 isn't too old to start dancing. Sabra who won SYTYCD last year didn't have any formal dance training until she was 16. If you want to do a show like that, as soon as you can, you really should start taking lessons of all sorts, not just hip-hop or jazz. If you aren't dancing make sure to get your body in the best shape possible so it's ready for all of the hours of practice. You can also start working on your flexibility at home.
It's not easy to be a dancer or an actress. You have to deal with a lot of rejection and hard times. And you will be compared to people who have been training their whole lives. But people who do it do it because we love it and we NEED to do it.
So if you are ready to devote a lot of time and energy, that's great!
If you can think of anything else to do for a career you should do that. And then dance for fun and not for your paycheck.

Break a Leg.

i think you should dance.

follow your dreams

Hey, you should definately dance. I love dancing it's fun. you should start with dance teams in college or at the gym. They offer classes at the gym. I was taking belly dancing at my gym it was so fun and they had a program during the summertime.

Half of the girls who were on the team were recommended to try out for the Titans dance team in TN. There are great experiences in learning any kind of dance. I loved belly dancing/ hip hop. It was super fun.

I want a danicng career too. The thing with dancing. You haver to be really dedicated to the dance you wanna do. or you will simply suck. So, just tremember once you start, yu need to think full and practice 24/7..lol.

You can attend to American musical dance it is better yourself. Because unfortunately 17 age is too late to start classical ballet. If you were 10 years old you would start to it. You sad that 'I love hip hop' so you can take hip hop lessons.

Age doesn't matter. I know this is like a broken record, and may sound a little cheesy.. but follow your dreams because they really can come true if you put your mind to it. I love to dance :)
good luck

Unless you're an absolute prodigy, your hopes of making it on SYTYCD or the likes are very small. Dancing is a lot harder than it would seem, and the longer you've been dancing, the more you realize that you're chasing unattainable perfection, which can be frustrating. You also realize just how hard it is. I'm sorry to say this, but it takes many years of training to be at a professional level, and it's not just technique. It's talent and natural ease of movement as well as incredible stage presence that can't be taught. You can definitely pursue a career in acting and dancing, but probably nothing very major.
