Position:Home>Dancing> I have just emailed someone from the Northern Ballet School, UK and...?

Question:...she said that there are no age restrictions on auditions for their company. I am 22 and I informed her of this. Still, she says that all applicants must have three years training to be able to audition. So if this is the case, and I train hard...am I still able to get somewhere with my ballet career?

of course you can if you set your mind to it. but you're gonna have to train incredibly hard because of all the competition and not be afraid of rejection. even if you do get turned down, you can always train some more and audition again next year. best of luck!

You don't say if you have done much ballet before in the past or not. I started ballet when I was 3 & when I was 12 I was accepted into the Royal Scottish Ballet - and they are fussy.
I don't know about the Northern Ballet School but I would imagine there will be quite a lot of competition.
You wont know unless you try but most of the other applicants probbaly will have been doing ballet for many many years.

Completely agree with Meeee!
