It's a business to the professional dancer. They understand having the emotion of the dance without the actual emotion. The problem usually comes when the student misinterprets that the dance professional is just doing his/her job.

exactly, it is just dancing...if you ask him to show you this kind of dancing, any good instructor would like to share their talents...just keep it professional and not personal

it depends etirrly on the teacher. My teacher doesn't but thaay be more because he can't do jt himself and gets embarrassed. Just wait and see. If they seem to be a bit slow on doing anything sexy, d it yourself. Sex up what he gives you, make some sggestions that he/she wouldn't normally do. Get it going, have some fun with your mates. If your teacher won't do it, go for it yourself!

It's just dancing!

I learned tons of dirty moves in salsa last year with people I didn't know. In one class they even said to the girls to shake their asses as much as they could... I'd say it's just dancing and it depends on the culture of the community.

For us in the lindy hop comunity, we do not care :) We flirt with everyone and we are not afraid to get close and do cool moves, regardless of our situation in life! I learned moves I will never do to a stranger :p unless I want a lawsuit lol

as long as nobody feels uncomfortable, you can work on this kind of choreography. to a dance instructor, most of them anyway, its just part of the artform.

The two are separate issues, and there's a line there not to be crossed. Because of the separation, there's no reason in the world not to use the leg crawls, serpentines, and such. They're erotic-looking dance figures, but dance figures is all they are.

To the professional, dance is dance. It is a performance. His a/o your marital status should have nothing to do with what he will or will not show you.
