Is belly dancing ...?

Question:i know i shouldnt bellydance becuase it is 'hot'. but if i did it for a school international assembly, will it be impressive? and get guys' attention.

Go for it. Belly dance is NOT about sex and seduction. Hollywood started perpetuating that image long ago... and still does so.

Raqs sharqi, Oriental dance, Belly Dance is performed by people of all ages and both sexes during festive occasions. YES, men do "belly dance". Alot of what is seen performed in the US is American Tribal Style and cabaret style. Much dancing in the Middle East is in the social context, not by the glamorous professional nightclub dancers.

belly dancing is one of the best excersie there is beside salsa dancing for the stomac and waste line unless you want to go to the gym and work work work. any one who can do the belly dance correctly is impressive that is without moving the upper body. good luck and keep it up, you will have the best abs around

Of course it will be impressive, and its a great form of exercise as well...aaaaaand I'm sure the guys will notice ;)

ya it will but make sure your really good at it cause otherwise you'll get attention but just from people maing fun of you and talk smack
