Your definitely not too old. And with your Jazz training you will probably find it a lot easier than what you expected.

I started dancing when I was 3 (Ballet, Jazz, Tap), I then started Contemporary when I was 12. I was really scared when I did my first lesson because I thought it would have been something totally different than what I am used to. It was different, but it wasn't so totally foreign that I couldn't do it. And for some reason guys always look so much cooler doing Contemporary than girls LOL. I think it must be the power and strength they put behind it.

Hope this helps :) Good Luck with the class!

You can start dancing at any age. Your never too old. I started dancing contemporary and hip-hop when I was 8 years old. So i was a pretty young but I have friends who started when they were 19 and even older so don't be afraid to start dancing at age 17. You should catch on pretty fast but obviously your not gonna be an expert your first time. Everything takes practice. Ive been dancing for 13 years and I still have things to learn and practice. Good Luck!
I would have to say contemporary is the hardest class i take so give it time and you will get better. Make sure you have good flexability and know your ballet.

your age is fine! Some dancers start in thier twentys!

your age is fine! contemporary is soooooo much fun. but as long as you have some sort of dancing background, you should be fine because contemporary is just a mix between modern and some ballet. but as long as you know some ballet things, its fin and also dancer92, of course some dancers are in their 20's. a dancers career starts at 17 or 18 and ends at like 27 or 28 at the oldest.

If you want to make a career out of it the younger the better but if your dancing for fun its never to late to start. Have fun!

learn anytime
and anything you want
and have fun

Never too old. I grew up doing Ballet for years, I never started doing Contemporary until I was 16. Good luck.
