Dancers: Would you find this insulting as well?

Question:In class we had to say what we are passionate about.
Me: I love to dance.
Teacher: How often do you do it?
Me: 6 days a week.
Teacher: oh cool.
Teacher: ____ what about you?
______: Dancing
Teacher: Do you do it 6 times a week like Rach?

In my head I was just like WHAT THE HELL WOMAN? 6 TIMES A WEEK? yeah maybe when I was 8 years old...

Maybe this is just a very touchy subject for me LOL? I'm sure you can understand what I mean though...6 days a week to 6 times a week? Bit of a jump lol!

I wouldnt.Obviously, there is a difference,but dont be mad at her.shes not a dancer.she doesnt understand.

No....she just said "times" but she meant "days" . I really don't think you should be offended.

she was probably just making conversation and trying to be enthusiastic about all of yall..i wouldn't be offended...she was also probably trying to compliment you rather than offend! but i unsderstand where you're coming from..

She may have been unaware of how passionate you are, it is an easy mistake to make. I think by asking you the teacher wanted to sort out in her own mind that you actually didn't just do it for an hour or so a day.

If however she was talking down to you, I would say she was correcting you, and you would have every reason to feel insulted.

I see what you're saying, but don't sweat it. You know how teachers a can be. I'm a rare breed of dancer and certified school guidance counselor, you know she carries bacardi in her coffee mug and isn't listening anyway ;)
