I want to be an officer in my dance team?

Question:The first lieutenant quit. I've been wanting to be an officer since the beginning, and I know I didn't know the dances well while in camp when they chose who would be co., captain....
There is a girl that I think might g et the spot if there is a vote.
Why I want this? It's my last year at this school and I want to make the most of it. I can take on the responsibility, and try hard.
Tips on how to make the spot? Besides dancing well and being helpful?

Practice extra hard! Let the coaches and your teamates realize how hard you work. Make yourself stand out. Perfect everything and try and help other/ younger girls do stuff they aren't very good at.

I guess i just said dancincg well and being helpful but thats a big part in how you can get this spot. If the coaches and girls see that you connect with everyone and know your stuff, they realize the spot may be for you. Its very important to BE CONFIDENT in everything you do. Don't be afraid to ask questions once and a while to gain that confidence.

If you have to do any talking, make sure you communicate to your best ability. Communication is very, very important when you want to get a job/position.... And eye contact!!!

Become friends with EVERYONE! If you don't get along with someone start off "I love that (Complement something buyable) ... Where did you get it?" once they are finished say "It's so cute my mom would never let me get that you are so lucky!" They will get full of themselves aand keep talking LISTEN! RESPOND! and DON'T INTERUPT!
