Here are some good dance moves.

A. Mambo step.....(line dancing)
Of course, you will see the mambo step (which is often called the "cha cha step") in the DJ Caspar Slide line dance.
Starting with feet together....
Forward RF, rock back LF in place, back RF (past LF), and rock forward LF in place.

Repeat those 4 steps ad lib. Count is: 1 2 3 4.

You can "double time" the count in the mambo step:
1 and 2 and.

You can use that mambo step in the merengue as well as the mambo.

B. Fan kicks L and R (jazz dance)
Do an outside straight kick with your LF and then with your RF also outside (that is, inside-outside first with LF, and RF afterward). The way the kicks are done will be like a fan.

Count is: 1(hold 2) 3 (hold) 4

C. Forward Snap Kick with Layback Explosion to Lunge with Slight Right Twist
This is a very pretty jazz move that Debbie Allen used to like.
The kick is doing is almost like a karate kick with a snap to an "arch-back" position at the same time. Then as the leg lands, you do a lunge and you turn your body to the right.

This is a very short jazz dance combination.

To do this: Do that karate kick with your free leg...as your free leg tightens at the apex of the kick, lay your upper body back (hence the "layback"). Land the foot way forward and the leg on that free leg that lands will go forward into a lunge. When you lunge on that supporting leg (now called that because the foot lands), you go to equal weight on both feet and turn your body to the right, including face.

Count is: 1 (for the kick), 2 (for the land), 3 (for the lunge).

D. Grapevine (jazz dance/line dance)
Here is a grapevine I love....the continuous grapevine.
You will see it in American foxtrot as well. (Remember "Dancing With The Stars?")

Start with feet together, and then...
1.Side LF
2. Cross RF over LF
3-16. Repeat steps 1-2 7 times.

Count 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16.

E. The Twisting Swivels (disco dance/ freestyle dance)

Start with feet together and keep those feet together throughout.

1. Twist to the L with a swivel action.
2. Twist to the R with a swivel action.
3.-16. Repeat steps 1-2 7 more times.

Actually, the twists and swivels are interchangeable. A swivel is a sort of twist action.
