Position:Home>Dancing> Some step by step ballet advice required!!!!?

Question:Hi everyone. I have tried searching the internet for a step-by-step way to get towards reaching my goals but it has proved difficult!!
I am training to take my grade 5 exams at the moment and I am 22 years old. I am very young and in good shape and have a deep and profound love for ballet that goes beyond explanation. I spend all my time reading about past dancers, inspiring stories, I take 3 lessons per week and I do my stretches. I ensure I am always the professional and treat all classes as if they were. We are beginning pointe classes also now.
I want to see how far I can go professionally and will not let age be a factor as I have the talent. To get somewhere now, can anyone tell me what I should be looking to do now? I am living in Toronto but I am English and so any comments from Canadians or English people with knowledge of schools etc would be greatly welcomed.
Many thanks x

For more technique, I would audition for some of the summer intensives, such as ABT, Boston Ballet, Joeffrey Ballet, etc. If you are striving to be in a professional ballet company, you will need to take more classes and do the summer intensives. Hope this helps. You can find audition dates and times and cities, on the ballet company's websites.

GREAT! they is the San Francisco Ballet (my ballet teacher went there!) there is, American Academy of Ballet in new york. there is one in L.A/ hope i did some help!

Correction on cathy a's answer: The age limit for auditions is 18, unfortunately.
