Question:okay i really need help on this lyrical dance move and what its called!! its in this video below at about 1:39 to 1:41 where he like rolls backwards?

i REALLLY need help on how to do this.. what its called.. what muscles need to be strong and how to practice it without breaking my neck lol

omg i know how to do this one!!! first i recommend doing a plain shoulder roll--roll backwards over one of your shoulders, for this example the left one. next when on the ground, i push backwards with my right leg and keep the left perfectly straight. when you get to the part when you should flip to your stomach try reaching around with your hand opposite the straight leg. your hand should be positioned so that its flipped similarly to the way it is flipped when you do a bridge or a backbend. use that hand to help you get around. when your right leg leaves the ground straighten it immediately. also you really need the momentum from the bent right leg at the beginning or else you can get stuck. when you do it think of going from your back and quickly trying to flip to your stomach--be careful though!! seriously if it feels wrong stop. you dont want to hurt your neck. i really think trying plain shoulder rolls is the best way to start before getting fancy. i hope all this makes sense. good luck!!

omg i love doing that roll. ok i have never been taught it but i saw someone do it in dance class and i just did it but it worked.
just roll back and make sure you roll through on your shoulder( i favor the right side) use your stomach muscles
