My kids of that age group LOVE Hannah Montana. I made up a jazz/hip hop combo to her song "Shake ya tailfeather" and it turned out really cute, and they had so much fun doing it. Also, the content on the CD is appropriate for that age group. Also the Jump! soundtrack is good, it's got some really upbeat songs on there. If you are into more contemporary songs, I would use Apologize by OneRepublic, Dancing by Elisa, anything by Imogen Heap ( I like Hide and seek), oh and Let Go by Frou Frou is a great one too.
