keep doing your splits everyday, when you do the splits lean over your front leg and try to touch your nose to your knee then lean back and try to touch the back of your head to your back leg. switch legs.

sit on the floor facing the wall and do a front split and keep pressing towards the wall with your whole body.

sit on the floor and put your legs to the side of your body forming a v and lean over and try to press your body down to the floor. lean over each leg and hold.

lay on the floor at at door way and put your butt against the door frame with one leg against it and put your other leg through the door frame and slowly sit up and hold, then switch legs.

it should take a few weeks, deoends and how much you stretch. I hope I was able to help you.

Research stretches that involve the inner thigh. Relax, hold them for at least a minute, and do then every other day,

you could sit in front of a wall and push yourself closer to the wall until you do a full split..i don't know what that stretch is called...how long it will take depends on you

A stretch that works really well is call a butterfly stretch. It's hard to explain a position with words, but I'll try: Basically, sit on the floor, with the bottoms of your feet touching, making your legs into a "butterfly" shape. Bring your heels as close to your crotch as possible, then lean forward as far as you can and hold it. Even bouncing your knees helps too!
And then there is the simple leg stretches, where you sit and extend one leg, and reach for your foot(or as close to it as possible) and hold it. Be sure to do this for both legs, so you can get an even stretch. Also do it with both legs out in front of you, and grab your feet and hold it.
I did these stretches once a day for about 20-30 minutes and I was able to do the splits without discomfort within 2-3 weeks.
Good luck!!

you can't learn the splits overnight, so everyday, you go in the slits position and go the frathest you can go down and do that everyday until you get it good.

everybody starts with the stretching.. inner thighs.. yes... but for heads up.. it needs a lot of patience to do the splits and religiously doing the stretches every morning.. its the best time you can do the stretchings.. but if you can do it most of the time, why not?.. but expect that you would have bruises on your thighs becuse of the stretching..
i'm also a dancer and that's what i teach my students specially when i teach them that skill for cheerdancing..
hope you'd be able to do it in a month or less.. my students practice everyday and were able to do it perfectly after 3 weeks..
do it one leg at a time first, put one of your leg on a high place and try to touch your knee with your head.. do it as your feet goes higher.. same with the same leg..
then you do the floor exercises.. close legs and reach your feet.. then reach the same place as you open your legs into a split.. 16 counts for every time you open them wider.. its better that you have a partner here so you could just spread your legs apart and face each other then use both your feet to lock the others' feet in place and take turns in pulling each other in for 16 counts... try to relax for every after stretch by shaking your legs like what you do when you shake your hands to let the blood flow.. but do it on the same position after you did the strecthes..

i do hope you're able to understand what i've mentioned..
though i know its quite difficult to understand..
goodluck!!

do many low lunges and some squats. and also like doing the splits pull one leg foward and bend it in like sitting on the leg. and the other back leg leave it straight and stretch really hard that will help believe me.. ive been danceing for years!!

Max, 2 months. Just keep doing the stretches and make sure to do middle splits too. Good luck!

what i did was i just stretched the front leg with the back leg sitting in a jazz split for several mins then stretched out the back leg. after that i would lift myself into my split then gradually lower myself till i was finally able to do both my right and left splits which really help for split leaps.
