Until this week on here, I have NEVER heard of anyone needed only one set of taps. I work fro a dance shoppe and we don't even stock anything like that, and we're the biggest supplier in the northeast. I can understand that you dont do a lot fo heel work as a little one, but I don't see the harm in having toe and heel taps, she'll need them eventually.

Best ask at her classes obviously - but I would guess at toe only. Mine didn't have heel taps for a long time!

You need both to dance

my girls needed both for tap class.

both what diffrence does it make i was on both wheni was 3

She would need both heel and toe taps. Capezio's are best.

These are dance websites where you can order them, but capezio's are what everyone starts with, they are one of the top dance brands in the world! :)

I have been doing tap dance for years and no all you need to start is a low heel with front toe taps you dont need heel ones untill about grade 3 and you already have the basic technique. Good luck

Hi. I've been dancing since the age of 3. I never got heel taps until the age of 11. It is not compulsary at this age. It wont really make that much of a difference as it is basic steps. So i would suggest leaving the heel taps and just use the toe taps supplied on the shoe untill a later age and stage of tap
