Dancing help please???

We are having a semi-formal dance at my school and I go to like a ghetto school [everyone grinds/twerks...whatever you want to call it] and I'm not that good at it
any tips?

Just because you go to a so-called "ghetto" school doesn't mean that everyone's grinding. I doubt that the music playing will be ballroom dancing music, but I don't think that the music will be strictly hip hop and rap. Hang out with one of your friends and ask them if they can teach you to dance. The only way you'll look like an idiot in front of your friends is if you dance and you're really stiff. Just loosen up and have fun.

I guess if you're in doubt you can see how people dance on youtube or any other video website.

you don't have to dance if you don't want to.
dances are a good way to catch up with old friends whom you haven't talked to for a while because of different classes.
no one will think you a loser because you don't dance.
and if your friends are really your friends, they will understand the fact that you don't like to/can't dance.

You don't need to grind at a dance. Just hang out with your girlfriends and have fun...it's just a school dance.
