Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: also, what does opposition mean in dance terms?

Dancing involves all parts of the body and can cause large amounts of wear and tear over time. It is important to be at peak health so that injuries can heal, muscles can strengthen, and your body can support the grueling strain of dancing.

Opposition refers to how the body should be held during dance.

Head up,
Shoulders are pressed forward
Chest closed in
Stomach in
Hips pressed forward.

This helps keep the body in a nice, straight line. It's called opposition because the each part goes in an opposite direction to counterbalance each other.

So the dancer can do their best when competing

a dancers got to have good health because there doing all this dancing & practising everyday

if they didnt have a good immune system then they would get worn out and wouldnt be able to put the effort needed into dance

sorry i dont know the answer to your other question

The answer should obvious. Good health is very important for a dancer. For competitions, auditions, performances, etc. If you have enough energy before dancing, then you'll safely go through the dance and not over do yourself.

And I'm sorry, but I don't know what an opposition is in dance.
