Question:I have a problem. I am dancing in the play Grease and we have this one part where I am partnered with a guy and I have to jump on him around his waist. Well, he is like my best guy friend and so it is a little weird and awkward for me. He keeps telling me I need to relax and jump higher and then wrap my legs around his waist. Well when I jump I am stiff, barely get to his hips, and my legs just stick out. Any advice?

This can be hard, but try to think of yourself as your character in Grease, and he as his, and try to forget any real-world relations with him while dancing. Don't tell yourself that you are dancing with your best guy friend, but rather, that both of you together are dancing for the audience. Lastly, he seems okay with it, so just smile and let it go!

your thinking to much of it. your just dancing... its not like you guys are doing "anything". it shouldn't be awkward he is apparently fine with it so you should relax and have fun with your best guy friend... it will be much better that way and the more relaxed you are the less akward it will be. just relax and everything will work out good. and good luck!

sit on your couch and move your feet

relax and thinkk real good...you have to practice on jumping alot like try to hit the celing or something thats what i did. and just relax ur feet and just slowely put them down. Hope tha kind of help!=]
