Position:Home>Dancing> Is it possible and acceptable to dance tango solo, i.e. without a partner?

Question:It's a conversation. Turning it into a soliloquy would be too much, except in practice sessions.

Actually,no.The tango(and I mean THE REALtano)is a partner dance and is dependant on the interplay of the couple. There's a fluidity(and sensuality)that's inherant in the dance(although it began on the docks and was originally danced by two men) it can be a dance about pure passion, loss or pain

it wouldn't be a tango anymore. because it is a partner dance. its a latin angry/passionate dance. well not really angry its just sassy i guess haha but no you need a partner to be sassy/passionate with in the dance to make it a tango
