I could help you a little bit. But there is so much I can choreograph. The scherzo is 10 minutes long. I can only do about 30 seconds of choreography, therefore.

My suggestion....

Do two "pas de chats" on the first 4 measures. Do them on measure 2 and measure 4. (This is on the octave Ds and As in the strings.)

Do the "tour de jete" on measures 5-6 on the octave Fs in the timpani.

Land in a knee sit on one knee and pose on measures 7-8. Get up to 1st position at end of measure 8.

First 16 measures (when the violin starts off)
1. Do running "pas courus" on pointe, and let your arms go to sides and make waves as if they are bird's wings.

On the first 8 measures, the pas courus should make one big left circle, and then the next 8 measures should have those pas courus in a right circle. Should take up a lot of space on the stage. On those steps, keep your arms to the sides and wave them constantly.

Then go into fouette turns for the next 16 measures, but keep your arms still to the side to represent bird's wings.

This is no "bluebird variations" but this is close.

hire someone who is really good at dancing and who does choreography as a job or someone who is professional. or you can ask one of your friends who is awesome at dancing. but i suggest if you want accurate results, hire a choreographer. look through the yellow pages or search online.

Keep it light and twirly. I danced for 11 years, and this is my first year not dancing. Keep it light and make the moves look as though you are floating on air. Do it on pointe as much as possible and keep your arms above your head in a light flapping manner. Use a lot of por-de-bras and carriage movements. Hope this helps.

one of my favorites.
Pina Bausch. always inspiring
