a top rock is something you do before you get down on the floor to start breaking. So you can do things such as basic, basic with flare, jumpjump slide ect. the hard things about this is that not all the same moves have the same names so you have to watch the people in your area and see what they call certain things. a down rock is stuff you do in order to get to the floor, this are totally unique and you just have fun with them the basic one is brooklyn where you plant one foot in front of the ohter and "thrust forward then back and drop to the floor. Footwrok is basically just what you do with your feet such as three steps and six steps. when it comes to footwork the faster the better

hope you learn breakdancing its very very fun but its a lot of hard work!!! have fun!!!
