Is it too late to start ballet when im 14 years old?

Question:I did ballet when i was in gr.6. I was the only onr in gr.6 and other kids were like, in gr.2-4. I was so imbarrased. One of the 4th grader was in my school and she made fun of me and I got so mad that I quit. Now, I want to do ballet again. Is it too late? I mean, I'm 14 years old.

IT IS NOT TO LATE!
But it is I admit too late to become a pro dancer, but as a hobby why not. And if you get really into it then you could continue in college. I'm 14 and I'm going to start ballet again, even though the oldest kids in my class are going to be 8-10 years old, who gives?
No ones gonna me 50 bucks if I don't go to that class , and who cares if I get teased, it's only going to be momentary thing I'll get over over it anyway. So yeah, you need to do ballet. BUT, I must reccomend going to a school that's not cheap, ( not the $40's range! BAD!). You need to go to a actually good school that people actually know about, or at least heard about. The good school will give you usually a student handbook, that has all of the information you'll need, and each level should go up by leotard color, also if they have piano accompiment I totally reccomend it. But don't just go anywhere check how the teacher is teaching, check A through Z. Make completely sure that this school is good. :) And check the prices. So yeah.

its ok, its not like there is a age that u can do ballet and after that u cant do it anymore. Whocares if people laugh at u.

tell the one who ADE FUN OF YOU TO, "BITE ME AND GET OVER HERSELF".your never to old to try to better yourself or try-new hings, go for it have fun, and flaunt your stuff in those busy bodies faces!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nope, never to late to do ballet.
I would suggest though that if they have teen beginning ballet classes at your studio to take them because then your surrounded by teens that are beginning just like you.
If not just go into a class that is your level and hold your head up high and try your hardest.

no! i did ballet for 2 years when i was 6 and then stopped until i was in 7th grade to start up again. dont worry about other people and do what you do best. Dance!

its never too late! i teach dance lessons and there are adults that start at age 45! and if you practice, you can still do it professionaly. you just have to put a lot more into it, but i mean, being a professional is not everyones dream. some of my friends started ballet at age 21 and they look great to me now! no one is perfect, and don't let those little kids make fun of you! they aren't perfect either! i say go for it, and just know that you will probably have to practice some at home. an easy way to practice is to walk around on your tip toes, just so you get used to it. i hope you have fun and tell that girl that she can shove her ballet shoe in her mouth and shut up! good luck!
