You shouldn't do, but one thing to remember with the Royal Ballet School is that they definitely have a "look of the moment" that they're going for, and if you don't fit that exact look, they probably won't accept you no matter how good you are. At the moment for Juniors (Lower School auditionees) they want a short torso and very long legs.

Other schools are more focussed on dance talent, potential, and musicality and less obsessed with a certain body shape. So if you don't get into RBS don't take it personally; it may just be that you don't fit into their shape at that time.

But there are other great schools out there, so good luck!

You shouldn't do. Cause tbh, it's discrimination.

i am tall but i'm also broad... im nt 'fat' but it makes me feel bigger than every1 else so i no how you feel. wow u must be rele good at ballet!! i love it but i think im gna quit because i'm not good enough and i feel 2 fat..... gd luck and keep it up!!!!!!!!!!! xx

That does sound very tall for a ballet dancer. As a woman who is 5'11" myself, I will be rooting for you to get through! Everyone thinks tall women have got life at their feet - if only!

i hope they don't hurt your score because of something like that. but don't feel to badly if you don't make it. besides, who wants to go to a school where they discriminate against people in that kind of way

they cant not pick you for any of that! it is normally betyter if you are small and petite because it will be easier for people to lift you. the companies that you are auditioning for might be looking for someone really short or really tall. if you dont get in it doesnt mean that your not good, just not what they are looking for at the time. Your boobs shouldnt be a problem though.
Hope this helps

They should judge you based on your talent. I really don't think you would be judged according to the way you look at all. If you aren't accepted, remember that it's not the end of the world! I'm sure you are a fabulous dancer! Get out there and dance! Just audition and do your best!

hi Hun, height and breast size shouldn't be a problem. my height is 5'5 and a D cup.....never stopped me from ballet, and have been at two schools, still doing it now aged 33, depends on your skills rather than your look. every school have their own likes/dislikes and like it or not it's a competitive world, sadly with some bitchiness!!
the rsb are renowned for their set criteria, but also look for raw talent.
be confident....practise as much as poss, and although it's **** at the time, try not to be to down, if anyone refuses you!!

good luck Hun x
have a good Christmas x

there is a cut offf height for a ballet dancer..but i dont no what it is sorry :S xx
