try beginning by landing down instead of up, this gives you more time in the air. if you have a dominant right-leg leap, try starting with a switch leap that starts with your left and finishes with your right. when you land down, you should have your right knee up and your left knee and foot on the floor with both hands on the floor. height is usually the key, because if you can't get off the floor you will never have enough time to switch. plus, i wouldn't chane' (turn) into the switch leap, i would chase' (my french is bad sorry!). work on those stomach muscles! these are really tough, i think practice is the most important part!

I'm not very good at them either. My teacher got my to try to do them at the barre. You use the barre to get up, but do the movement with your legs. It helps you get the feel for it.
