Are the professional dancers in "Strictly Come Dancing" paid ?

Question:Read this and find out! I was shocked and horrified, especially to discover that the celebrities are paid. I thought they did it for the publicity and fun and to raise money for charity. They carry on with their regular jobs at the same time, so they're still earning anyway.

I would find it hard to believe they are not, even if its just royalties, they gotta be getting close to a million each

Well I can't see them doing it for nothing!

I think they are which is bad really seeing as the money raised is for children in need

i would of thought they would be paid a little bit. they are not the most now and up to date dancers. it is like most tv shows now - famous (recent) people demand soooooo much money that the film companies cannot pay it so they use the older famous lot who used to be famous or who are trying to be famous.

Could you afford to not get paid for 3 months, of course they will be paid as will the contestants.
