Question:I reckon i could do the splits if my back leg would straighten out.

Any stretches or exercises that you know of that would loosen up my knee so i could straighten my leg while in the splits?

It sounds like your problem is with your hip flexors. To stretch those, go into a lunge with your front leg bent and your front foot straight ahead, not turned out or in. Your back leg should be extended behind you and almost stright. You should feel a stretch at the top of your hip in the front of your back leg. Then go into the splits with the same leg front. Repeat on your other leg.

well i used to be in cheerleading and i learned how to do a split by spreading both legs out and reach as far as u can in the middle for about 10 sec. then lean one one leg for another 10 sec. then the other then stand up lifet the leg that bends onto a table or something then touch ur toes for about another 10 sec. its not gonna happen in one night so do this everynight for about a week or less and see wat happens let me know how it goes!

widen ur legs as wide as u can when sitting down..stretch out ur arms straight to the front and go slowly down in front as far as possible,,it works..just have to bear with the pain..for faster results get another partner to do the same sitting posture..and ask him/her to pressed ur legs against and pull ur arms further more...i dun know whether u get the idea..but hope u know a little details of it
