NY dancer trip?

Question:I'm planning a trip to New York to bring a group of really talented dancers from Brazil. Trying to figure out the best time so they can maybe do some auditions. I know the schools and everything, just not auditions.

Peak audition season for summer intensive programs is from January through March. Many of those auditions will say that you can also audition for the company at the same time, but 99.9% of the time, there are no actual openings (especially for women) at the time of the audition, so not much comes from them, job-wise. Otherwise, companies hold auditions throughout the year as the need arises and will update their web sites with audition information. Most aspiring professional dancers need to relocate to NYC for an extended length of time and simply be on hand to audition for anything that pops up on an ongoing basis.
