arabesque: to stretch the leg behind you long and high.

penchee (sp?): arabesque, but you lean your upper body forward and bringing your leg up higher as you do so.

en dedans: inward motions

en dehors: outward motions

pirouette: to turn in passe

passe: you bring your toes to your knees in a turned out positions

developpe: to deveope into having a straight leg. normally going through passe to straight to the back side or front.
