Question:During the 4 first years of highschool (I live in canada, mtl) I was in the dance program ( dance about 1.5 hrs every day). I 've done classical ballet, modern, jazz, a little bit of tap dance and flamenco. This years I've changed school and I wanna continue dancing but I really dont know what kind of dance. I have a pretty good base in classical ballet so I think I can do pretty much everthing.. but I wanna try some thing new.. suggestions?

i've been in ballet classes since i was four and i kno what you mean! you might want to try hip-hop... i thought it was pretty challenging since its sooooo different than ballet, but it's also a lot of fun!

u can continue with ur classical ballet a u hav instrest in it,will prove u bst,..n if wana try sumthing diff,.go 4 salsa..

If you want to try something that is completly different from classical ballet, you might want to try:
~Hip-Hop/Funk
~Irish
~Ballroom (Tango, Salsa, Waltz)
~Jazz (sort of like ballet, but it is more upbeat and the steps are a lot different)
~Character (so much fun!!)
~Tap (more advanced than you had before)
~Swing

But if you want to go with something like ballet, but just a little bit different, go with:
~Lyrical (moves are like ballet but a little bit more free fllowing, and the music is different)
~Modern
~Contemporary
~Pointe (exactly like ballet but more challenging because you are on point)

If i were you i would go and try hip-hop. It's fun but a good work out!! Even if you're not good at it (like me) you'll still have tons of fun!
