Like 'claudio' I have also been to Morocco.
Unlike 'claudio' the belly dancers I saw were hideous , three big fat things dressed from head to toe in sort of sackcloth dresses.
I sat watching supping my beer I was mesmerized, I was actually staring in disbelief, unfortunately one of these 'dancers' was of the opinion that I fancied her and that I was staring at her!!
They had a break, she came over to my table and lowered her massive bulk into a chair and called a waiter over, she ordered (and paid for) a couple of beers, she could speak no English I spoke very little French or Arabic.
I noticed she had some sort of tattoos on her hands and her nails were painted black, I made the mistake of picking one of her hands up for a closer look, she thought this was some sort of amorous gesture, she was all over me!
I have never ever left a drinking place as fast as I did then!!!

What I like about it is that even older and larger women practice it. It gives them confidence as well as being good physical exercise. I don't mind watching them but i wouldn't go out of my way to see them. Belly dancers (that name has to change) of all ages and sizes dance in my local Turkish restaurant. I think they are brave.

I like belly dancers because they look you directly in the eye and tell you to enjoy their feminine wiles. and it's like every movement is a word, a physical poem:
