Because med school is expensive. Before you laugh at strippers working their ways through med school, you should know that I taught English at a hospital and two of the nursing students (with really good bodies!) were working their ways through nursing school stripping, but because of the stigma of it and other regulations, they had to go to a neighboring county to do it. I've also known singers who worked thier ways through grad school doing singing telegrams. What's hilarious is that you're actually laboring under the misguided notion that all strippers are dumb and all doctors are smart. Now THAT'S hilarious

Maybe they are ashamed to say that they are doing it to earn a living.

Because it makes them feel like they aren't immoral, and trying to do some good. I think it's funny as well, just admit you like to dance on a pole and we'd all be happy.

Maybe they are. At least they have jobs.

When I was dancing there were actually two girls in school pursuing medical fields. One to be an anesthesiologist and the other a pediatrician. So I would guess because some are. While others were there to support their families and still others were there to simply feed their habit. Many people do many things in life.

Because a customer doesn't want to hear about the dancer's abusive bf or her coke habit or her two kids or her latest cosmetic surgery or the trailer where she grew up and/or lives

Aaahh, maybe because medical school is so expensive that the only way most people could ever afford to go there would be if they stripped for a living? Hey strippers, if they're hot can make one hell of a living.And with a little bit of good business sense could probably earn as much as a good surgeon.Don't be a hater.
