Question:I am currently on v. cheer at my high school, but at the time no tumbling experience was required. Now we are getting into more competition stuff and i feel like i should take classes, but i have absolutely no gymnastics experience at all!!! i am pretty flexible,( i have real high kicks almost have both splits) should i take classes/private lessons or if so how much do they cost and is it possible for me to learn to do back handsprings and tucks?

Tumbling is always a great thing for cheerleaders to have. Check into your local dance studios some of them have tumbling classes , also look for gymnastic studios. They often have open gym nights and you and all your cheerleader friends can go, usually like a couple bucks to get in, and you can all help each other. Make sure b4 you attempt any handsprings make sure you have a reliable spotter who knows what there doing!!!!

I don't have any personal experiance but I know that all of my cheerleader friends take tumbling classes and it can't hurt.
