Question Home

Position:Home>Dancing> Do irish dancers (female) get sweaty/smelly feet?

Question:Depends what class they are in. My friend does 2 hour long classes but she does practise her competition routines and once she comes out of the studio she is swweaatttyyyyy. And i mean everywhere!

As for the massaging the feet....I don't think you would want to lol :) But if your really up for it perhaps she might even feel embarassed? The sweating probably wouldn't be that bad as they wear socks like these: http://www.irishdanceshoes.org/images/ne... So they are very thick.

Hope this helps :)

Depends on the dancer and how long. I sweat upper half more than like feet per se. Depends on the person and if I've just done hard shoe or soft shoe, but foot massages are nice sometimes after dancing hard shoe. It really just depends on so many variables. I don't have very sweaty feet though.

And it's true. Irish bubble socks (also called poodle socks) cut down on the sweating so much.
