How old are you? Clearly you have not done any research at all. Yours is a very childish and naive question. Read Janine's response... she is on the money.
First, even the best dancer in the US would have trouble getting into the Kirov. It is one of the schools by which all other schools on the planet are judged. It is "old school". It is all business, ballet 24/7. You would be worked nearly to death and starved into the anorexic "ideal" still held in high esteem by most Russian dance instructors. Their female ideal is 5'6" and not heavier than 115lbs.
I could go on and on, but I know what I am talking about. Any tips? Yeah Get real...you will not get into the Kirov. Instead, work on your technique and see what happens here at home. If you are not "on your way" by age 15, and believe me you will know, content yourself to being a good amateur dancer that is in good shape.

what school?

i think you would need to have lots of experience... maybe even your whole life dancing

It's not a matter of mere years of ballet, but the intensity and quality of your previous training. Students at the Kirov Academy dance 4 hours a day, 6 days a week. And it's ALL ballet, which includes character dance. There's no modern, jazz, tap, lyrical, etc. Just ballet.

And it's Russian ballet, which is very strict in all matters. Strict teachers, and they're very strict about weight. You have to have a ballet body. You also have to have a tough personality to not take scolding personally and also to deal with the competition between the other students.

As I said before, all of the boarding schools dedicated to dance are tough to get into. In your case, with the kind of dance studio you're attending that has you doing just a bit of all kinds of styles, you wouldn't be able to get in.

That said, the Kirov Academy (formerly called the Universal Ballet Academy) is not a program that I endorse due to their "Old School" philosophies and some other issues that I won't go into. While parents of most former and current students will defend the program quite vociferously, it can also be an unhealthy environment for a lot of dancers.
