How soon could you dance (tap or jazz) after bunion surgery?

Question:I just recently had surgery and my doctor told me that it could take up to six months. I start physical therapy this week.

Go slowly!!
Trust me, I had bunion surgery nearly 3 years ago and I started doing normal activities a little sooner than what they said, and I'm still paying for it with pain nearly every day!

Poor you. This surgery (or the recovery from it) can be hit and miss. My dance teacher was back on his feet teaching within two months. Be careful and listen to your body.
