I would def try out, because you never know what could've been until you try. Remember:
~If they teach you a dance, pay close attention and practice practice practice; make sure you do it the exact way they teach it and ask questions if you have them
~Figure out if the team normally does facials, because if so you might want to practice and make sure you don't do too many
~If you choreograph your own routine, stick to the stuff you're good at, but also through in basic turns and leaps
~If you have an interview, practice answering fake questions and build your confidence
Overall, be sure of your dancing abilities and always present yourself as if you are doing the routine perfectly. Hope I helped!

Make sure you stick your moves. Make sure you are confident in the placement of all of your moves. It's very noticeable if a dancer is unsure of the moves and just places their arms or body in a certain position. Smile/ attitude it also very important. Good Luck!

All I can say is just smile. Perform with your face. Have good facial expressions. I know this from personal experience and dance coaches always look for the best performers, not necessarily the best technicians, because it is easier to bring someone's skill level up, rather than their ability to perform.
Try your best and that's all you can do. If it's meant to be then so be it. Just remember smile, smile, smile! (and act like you have all the confidence in the world... even if you don't!)
