Question:Every time I try to do a pirouette (either in Ballet or Jazz) I keep falling out of it. I can get almost always around but I lose my balance for the last quarter of it.
How can I keep my balance so I can actually do a pirouette.

Spot, pull up straight, keep arms rounded, shoulders down, toe pointed at knee, in your prep: plie, then get up high on ur toe.
wat really helped me, was when I went from prep to releve, i wipped myself around in trying to stay up longer to do a double.
make sure you do NOT do this. keep your arms where they should be and dont wind them around to try and go faster. USE YOUR PLIE. really get low in that prep and dont "pop" up.

pull up straight and keep your arms round, think of your center while turning, it helps alot.

Spot.... once you are about to finish you need to pick a point and keep you eyes focused, pull you body up put your arms out and you will soon notice that you will gain balance from this and that will help you not fall out of your pirouette.

keep your pelvis tucked under, spot, pull up ( like if someone had a string attached to your head and started pulling on it), and keep a strong back. but the most important thing is keeping your pelvis tucked under.

A good way to help is practice the prep. Stand in first position, open your arms to second and tendu one leg to your side. Bring in your arms to third position, and bring your legs to forth position plie and launch yourself up to passe releve with your arms in first position. Analyze yourself before all this, make sure you have correct alignment, the weight of the body should be on the ball of your feet and your arms should have correct alignment. When you launch yourself up, make sure you're already to go and spin, don't wait to spin until your in passe. Instead of forcing your weight back, try to bring your weight forward, that way it is much better to catch yourself. Don't bend your standing leg, and have alot of strength on your toes and leg. Your passe also controls the speed of your spins, the smaller the passe the faster. Most importantly don't forget to spot and never let you arms open unless you're getting ready to slow down and stop, or you'll lose your balance.

I have a little trouble sometimes myself. The one thing i learned (from a very good teacher) is to not only keep a spot, but make sure that you have your center. Firstly have the center then secondly make sure your legs and positions of your arms are correct. I really didn't think arms made a difference but i did as i was told, keeping my arms in, and it helped. Another tip is start out only with singles then once you know you are good at those, move on to doubles and so on. But only move on when you KNOW that you are good.

try spotting

Keep your arms still and stiff. Don't forget to spot. Pull up/ compress your stomach muscles.
That is what my teacher says if we can't get a turn.
