schools yes but there not called colleges there school of the arts... look into it and good luck... i thought about it at one point in my life too.

Any school for the "Arts" would have a dance program.

There are many colleges and universities that have dance programs that students can major in. Not all of those programs allow non-majors to take those classes, so you'd have to check.

If you're interested in becoming a dance major, you should definitely get hold of a copy of the Dance Magazine College Guide, which lists college and university dance programs across the U.S. and abroad:
http://www.dancemagazine.com/collegeguid...

However, if you're interested in majoring in something else and taking dance classes on the side, then you first look for the best colleges for your major and THEN check to see if those colleges have a dance program that allows non-majors to take any classes. There will be different policies for doing this, such has maybe having to audition to determine what class level you should take or not being able to apply the credit towards your degree program.

It is not true that any school for the arts would have a dance program, as some such schools just specialize in visual or graphic arts with little or no performing arts.

Many colleges offer dance majors, but there are also conservatories that focus on the arts. Some are both, SUNY Purchase for instance, is a state school, but cators to arts majors.
