Yes

If your wearing point shoes then yes because poit shoes have wood in the bottoms of them to help you go on you tippy toes. Yes your feet hurt and bleed

all the time...........

ok first of all theres no wood in pointe shoes anymore. and yes. dancing does hurt your feet, especially if your on pointe. All the dancers i know have the gnarliest feet i have ever seen. They're all mangled and blistered from the hours of pointe work.

Yes, yes, yes. This is because pointe shoes have wood "boxes" at the end on the shoe, at the toe end. This hurts even with the proper padding. You are basically standing on the tips of your toes, and hurts. There is a lot of stress and weight on the feet.

I danced with the NYC Ballet for years. The first two years of learning to dance in point shoes can be painful. Once your feet and body muscles change to accomidate this abnormal stance it's usually your back and knees that give out.

I believe narrow pointy shoes hurt my feet more than point shoes did.

Um yeah...
Pointe shoes can give you large blisters, and make your toes bleed. It can also mess up your bone structure if you dance on pointe for years and years. My dance teachers feet have her toes all pointed inwards with big corns on the sides and all. Now that doesn't happen to everyone. But especially for the first few years it's very painful. The tips of your toes are not built for standing on, that's why you need special shoes to do it and it still makes your toe joints ache, and your arch too.

Yes. Blisters and calluses and bruises like you wouldn't believe. When I first started pointe, my toes were bleeding after every class.

It's not uncommon to have a toenail fall off every now and then, too.

ohhh yeah.
especially pointe toe.

Definitely. When I first started pointe, I forgot to put in the padding and I end up with blisters and blackened toenails. I'll say that the ouch pouch really stopped the blisters but I still get the occasional blackened toenails.
It wasn't just the feet. Sometimes the ankles and knees feels really sore.

Yes.They do!Ballet is very hard on the feet.Proper foot work is always taught. Most of the time when you turn out a foot or do alot of jumping your feet hurt.
