One of the hardest things for people to do amazingly enough is to look into each other's eyes, which can be very intimate. As they say, the eyes are the window to ones soul. Sometimes that is enough. Oh, and smile.
But if he is a good dancer, and you really want to talk during a dance(assuming the music isn't cranked up too high), ask him how he learned how to dance so well. Its not only a conversation starter but its a compliment as well( strokes the guys ego...)

if shes comfortable with you try putting your hand just above her ***. if you know her well pull her close to you and at the end of the song dont let her go and when she looks up tell her she looks beautiful and kiss her softly.
