It's mostly strength. Honestly. Flexibility counts, because your legs just need to be able to stretch that wide in your jetes, but you've really got to be able to power it up while making it look easy, and that takes something.

Some really good things to do are to stretch a lot before you practice them, especially your splits. Do butterfly's, whatever. Also, you should practice developes and grand battements. Especially developes, though, because that builds strength- so do them slow! When you actually practice, you could maybe do a couple glisse's before you leap.

One more thing. As you prepare to grand jete, push through your feet as much as you can. Good luck!
