Just out of curiousity do any of your dancers out there...?

Question:wear just one leg/ankle warmer...not 2. and i have this one pair, where it looks retarded to wear them together. at least with the kind of tights im wearing. it looks ok with 1 tho...but no one in my class does that...and i've never been much of a fashion guru. so is that just stupid or do people do that? because i think it looks kinda cool, plus its dance class so it doesn't really matter what i look like much. haha

im not gonna wear it yet until i get an answer haha cuz i dont want to for some reason, i have random moments like this.

Dance class is no place for fashion lol, I can only begin to describe what we wear to class. scarves, three pairs of pants...If I'm in a class where we cant wear shoes, I cut the toes out fo a pair of black knee highs, usually just one actually, that i can slip over my foot for sliding, but i wear it on my arm like a gauntlet when we arent doing that part.

Ok, what i would recomend is buying a pair of convergible(sp?) tights. They are only like 20 dollars and then you can wear them footed with the leg/ankle warmers, then convert them to non-footed.

Yeah of course, if you want to, maybe your friend can wear the other? I've seen this done before heaps in dance classes.

And if someone asks why your only wearing one, you can just say that you can't find the other one and that you were cold.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, I don't know if its the same at your dance school but at mine girls wear the most strangest things lol...like underwear over the top of tights :)

i dance at the minnesota ballet, and our uniform is strictly this, pink tights, no cutoffs, black capezio camisol leotard #3399,light pink, calf legwarmers for barre only, black thigh legnth, wraparound skirt, only for variations class. But of corse this is only for classical ballet. i find it disrespectful to apear in front of your teacher in something you just threw together. i would think hard about what it is you are going to wear to class.

I know some of my friends who have ankle injuries or bad ankles or knees on one leg. They just wear the legwarmer on the one leg to keep it warm and prevent from injuring themselves anymore.

One of my favorite things about dance is the freedom of what you wear. just wear whatever you want. but make sure you can dance in it fine.
