u can buy individual toe pads at dancedistributos.com or any other dance supply place... i wear those and it helps me... and b sure u get them 4 the big toe =]... also try maybe getting a wider shoe... that helped me a bunch and make sure that ur ankles r really strong... u can do exercies like toe raises 2 help... cuz the strongr ur ankles r the less pressure will b on ur toes... and practices roll ups 2 help break in your shoes... and even if u r ding everything correctly it will stlil hurt a little... pointe hurts... that is half the fun =] good lukc and happy dancing!!!!

Wrap it tightly but other than that you can't do much else. Just make sure your not overdoing it in class.

The same thing happened to me last year (bruises under my big toe.) What I did was basically cut my nail off. The bruise is blood under your nail, and the nail puts pressure on the bruise (like when you touch a normal bruise.) but you have to be careful when you do it, if you don't take care of it, it may get an infection.

make sure you keep your toenails really short. and you might try different shoes to see if that helps. Other than that you just deal with it until you've built up enough callus.

Make sure you're "pulling up" - use your abs and try to reach the ceiling with the top of your head. It'll get some of the weight off your toes.
Less weight on toes = Less bruising. ^_^
